Creative VFX Techniques Course

The course will be conducted as interactive live lessons through real projects in a private video conference channel on Discord, limited to 12 participants. Using Blackmagic Resolve and Fusion, you will acquire visual effects skills ranging from basic to advanced levels.

This course is suitable for anyone looking to enhance their career, work remotely, or specialize in new fields. All software, materials, and plugins required for the lessons will be provided to you. Additionally, recordings of each lesson will be shared in a private class channel. At the end of the course, you can remain part of our community to receive ongoing support, participate in knowledge sharing, and take advantage of remote work opportunities.

Program

1.5-Hour Lessons | 2 Lessons Per Week | Total of 8 Lessons Each week, one of four unique projects will be completed.

Project 01: Astronaut Walking on a Planet Surface

In this project, we will create a scene of an astronaut walking on a fantastical planet, focusing on seamlessly integrating a pre-designed matte painting background, matching color and light for realism, replacing a studio-shot environment, adding 3D elements, and incorporating atmospheric details and lens effects to enhance the visual impact.

Project 02: Supervillain with Electric Powers

In this project, we will work on a sci-fi scene where a supervillain attacks an innocent person with electric powers. You will learn green screen keying, rotoscopy, background placement, and scene enhancement techniques. Additionally, you will create and apply electric effects and advanced lighting techniques.

Project 03: High-Speed Vehicle Chase and Combat Scene

In this project, we will work on an action-packed scene featuring two vehicles in a clash on a highway. You will learn how to add effects like muzzle flashes, bullet casings, glass shattering, bullet impacts, and blood splatter to create dynamic action sequences. Additionally, you'll transform a daytime scene into a nighttime setting.

Project 04: Giant Robot Landing in a Parking Lot

In this project, we will create a scene where a giant robot lands in a parking lot.Using shots from different camera angles, you will practice CG (computer graphics) integration, rotoscopy, and matchmoving. Additionally, you will learn background cleanup and how to add dust and smoke effects during the robot's landing.

Training System

1. Project-Based Learning

   • Each lesson starts from scratch, progressing step by step until the project is fully completed.
     

2. Q&A Opportunity

   • You will have the chance to ask questions during or after the lesson about any unclear points.
     

3. Video Recordings

   • Recordings of all lessons will be shared for you to review at any time.
     

4. Working Files

   • Project files prepared by the instructor will be provided to students.
     

5. Assignments

   • For each project, you will be given assignments to work on similar visuals but filmed from different angles.
     

6. Feedback

   • Your project files will be reviewed, and detailed feedback will be provided.
     

7. Achievement Goal

   • The goal is for every student to successfully complete their projects. By the end of the training, you are expected to reach a level where you can work on visual effects projects.

     
     

Materials Provided During the Course:

• Footages shot with a professional camera

• 3D models, backgrounds, and visual effects packages
  

All software and materials will be provided for free, and you will be able to use them in your portfolio (demoreel) as you wish.
